My Rebuttal to a post about "No turning back" by gaise baba and lawrence oyor

Thank you for writing this and I understand your point. Up till now I have refrained myself from sharing any comment publicly on this issue. Why? Because as believers, we are not called to merely react to trends; trends will come and go, we must be subject to the Holy Spirit.

That said, for me, I don't have any personal issues with the song; some of us have been singing that song since we were kids. However, there should be a posture for ministers of the gospel. What got Christianity to the point it is now, is this so called "freedom", a freedom in Christ that we have soooo misunderstood and miss-applied.

Because a believer understands that something is not an outright sin does not give us a license to do it. To dye one's hair is not outright sin, but does it give a minister of the gospel the 'liberty' to simply do it? It is not an outright sin for two unmarried male & female to stay overnight in the same room, but does that give a believer liberty to do it? If we remove every Christian discipline today, just because we have understanding that they are not outright sins, in the end we would have affected the very posture of our Christian life and lifestyle.

When a gospel minister acts in a certain way, especially that public, what you're telling people is that, that act is a standard and people can follow it. How much freedom did Jesus and His apostles had, how much understanding did they have, yet they chose not to allow those liberty to determine what they permitted or not permitted; they chose the leading of the Holy Spirit. Let Gaise Baba come and tell us that it was the Lord's Spirit who inspired him to dye his hair and minister with it, then I will understand and accept that a new brand of "hair dying believers" has started in the body of Christ.

Watch what will happen later, because of this that we are allowing; a time will come when in the Christian faith we will have a new convert and tell them, "Welcome to the Faith. Now that you are saved, you need to change your ways, you need to repent from this or that." and the new convert will protest that changing those things are not necessary, why? Because they have seen believers speaking in tongues still doing those same things.

Talk about polygamy; there are tongue-speaking believers today who have more than one wife. Oh I forgot, it doesn't matter, after all there is "liberty". Talk about certain hairstyles today; there are tongue-speaking believers today who take on all kinds of hairstyles. Oh I forgot, it doesn't matter, after all there is "liberty". Talk about undue closeness to the opposite sex, removing boundaries of holiness; there are tongue-speaking believers today who have removed all these boundaries. Oh I forgot, it doesn't matter, after all there is "liberty".

And that's how we have removed many logs from our fire; that log doesn't matter we remove it, this log doesn't matter we remove it... How much is this fire of the Christian faith burning today? How much is left of the apostolic discipline that the set of Apostles Peter and Paul left us?

Dying of hair is not a sin after all, let's allow it; there is liberty in Christ... My heart bleeds.
