THE LIGHT, THE KNOWLEDGE, AND THE GLORY

Different worldviews have always had one or two ways they identify or represent God. It is interesting to know that some of the characteristics they attribute to the person of God are actually true; Greek mythology, for instance, has linked things like light, knowledge, and glory to Apollo, Metis, and Aglaea respectively, which are some of their gods.

True as they may be, it is also interesting to know that while these entities are identified in unique gods (different beings), the person of Jesus in the Christian worldview presents a combination of all of them in one Person; making Jesus the completeness of all things. Look at how Paul presented it in 2Corinthians 4:6; "For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ".

In Jesus, you find the complete revelation of the person of God.
