WHY MUST YOU DIE?

I would like to open this article with a song that played on my mind as I thought of writing this.

It goes thus:

On a hill far away, Stood an old rugged cross, The emblem of suffering and shame, And I love that old cross, Where the dearest and best, For a world of lost sinners was slain.

Without beating about the bush, I would like to ask you a cogent question,

Why must you die?

Why must you die when your Savior left His majesty above to die in your place, so you can live? Why must your glorious destiny go to waste, when Christ gave up His glory for your sake? Why must you let the devil win over your soul when Christ has come to give you life in unimaginable abundance? You really do not have to die. Christ already died for you.

You don’t have to live a life that the devil will waste in a short while. You don’t have to sell your soul to the devil because Christ paid the price for your redemption already on the cross.

The riches and fame that the devil will give you will only last for a short while and before you can even enjoy it, your life might be over! The devil never gives anything that lasts. He gives you one thing to take a thousand.

But Christ is still standing at the open door of mercy offering you everlasting life and blessings that last. The devil is out to rubbish and waste your life after taunting your appetite with lying fame and glory that won’t last, but Christ is able to beautify your life beyond imagination. Give up on the devil and let Jesus into your heart. Beyond words, you can only understand the beauty of Christ when you taste Him for yourself.

Today, acknowledge your wrong ways, confess them and ask God for forgiveness and grace to turn around and live a new life. No one ever came to Jesus and got turned down.

The devil is simply in the business of wasting lives, don’t let yours be next. Christ is waiting for you. He loves you.

You do not have to die.
