Billions of dollars you might not finish spending before you die rolling into your account every day; a fleet of cars you don’t get the time to drive adorning your garage; the whole world looking up to you as if you hung the moon. What would any of this profit you if you lose your peace here on earth and your soul in eternity?
The Bible says that what would it profit a man if he gains the world and loses his own soul, or what would a man give in exchange for his soul? Good question don’t you think?
What could be so important that you have to sell your soul to get it? Regardless of what you think the answer to that question is, I put it to you that the actual answer is nothing!
I understand that you grew up soaking garri as your three-square meal. I also get the fact that you had to watch your parents get humiliated countless times by their creditors. I can imagine what it must have felt like sharing a room with your family of eight, the same room that is just half the size of someone else’s bath. I see where you’re coming from when you ask me to take a glance at your schoolmate with whom you graduated and compare that to where you are. And I know I might not know the full gist of how you have three poor and innocent siblings looking up to you.
But!
But, the path you’re treading is not the way to the financial emancipation you seek, rather like the Bible said, there’s a way that seems right to a man but the end thereof is death.
When you go through illegal and do-or-die means to right a problem in your life, you only end up setting up a bigger one. A bigger one that you might be able to come out of as easily as the one you left.
Think about it!
What joy would it give you to have the same family you’re trying to cater to watch you paraded on global TV as a big-time fraud and con person?
What profit would you end up getting when the same billions you sold your soul for become frozen by law enforcement agencies?
What have you achieved when at the end of it all, your mum dies of a stroke because of the shame of your incarceration and the guilt of thinking she drove you to it? Or if your Dad drinks himself to his death thinking he has failed as a parent? Or if your siblings have to live with the stigma of your shame for the rest of their lives?
Don’t you see now that the devil gives you one thing to take away everything you own and love? Don’t you see that really, there’s no profit, because if you die in this situation, without repentance and salvation, you end up losing it all in eternity?
Dear friend, true success, upliftment, and promotion comes solely from God. He’s the One who gives blessings and adds no sorrow to it. When a man is sold out to God, God, in turn, beautifies his life and makes him an excellency of many generations.
I know your question now is: How can I be sold out to God? Good one!
Here’s how: Believe in the Lord Jesus that He died for your redemption and freedom. He died so that the devil will not play nasty games with your life.
Repent of all past wrongs by telling them to Christ and letting Him know you’re giving them all up for the life He wants to give you. Ask for His pardon and believe me, you don’t have to ask twice. He’ll do it!
Then ask for His grace to live the life He wants for you. No man can be what God wants him to be by himself. Only a graced man can. And yet again, you don’t have to ask twice. He’s been waiting for this moment all your life. He’ll do it.
With this, I’ll have you know you’re well on your way to getting the true emancipation you desire. Associate yourself with godly-minded people and break free of all sinful attachments.
The grace of the Lord is with you.
